We do not add a breeder because they asked or because they have a recognizable name. Before any genetics enter the catalog, we look at the stability of their lines, what the growing community actually reports in the real world, and whether their specs hold up in practice.
The 40+ breeders in the Gold Hill catalog made it because their genetics are consistent and their reputation is earned over time. You will find established names alongside independent breeders doing genuinely interesting work. Both belong here if the quality is there. Neither belongs here if it is not.
Curation also means being honest when a strain is difficult. A genetics listing that calls everything beginner-friendly does not help anyone. Difficulty ratings on Gold Hill reflect what growers actually encounter -- not what sells better.
